Within this document, you will find the process of creating, updating and closing an electric meter read charge by using the electric meters report. For this example there is no electric meter integration, some steps may not be required if you have an electric meter integration such as Wild Energy.
Select the Reports tab. Then View all reports.
Here you can manually search for the report by using the search bar (a.). Or select the Integrations tab (b.) then Electric Meters report (c.).
Filter Options:
The “Start Date” is going to tell the report what onsite reservation to look for, in addition to what date the charge will be created for.
You can filter this report by the Type or by the Category of the reservation. You can also filter this report by Subs (subscriptions) Only.
You will then press the Arrow button to search your filters.
Creating/Opening a new electric meter read charge.
Start by selecting the checkbox next to all reservations that you would like to open a new meter read on. Please note that the Charge Date, Flat Fee, Open Reading and Close Reading are all empty columns at this moment.
Once the reservations are selected two boxes will appear in the upper right corner. These are +Create Charge and Update.
If you have an integration you will also see a X Close Meter option.
This process is also the same for a reservation with a subscription attached. Please note that the electric meter charge will automatically be added to the first available subscription line that has NOT been paid in full.
Select + Create Charge.
This will create the charge and add it to the reservation. You will now see the Open Reading will have a meter read entered. This is based on the last close meter read on this unit.
Additionally, the charge date, the flat fee (if applicable), and the close reading columns all show data now.
If you open one of the reservations now you will see the open meter from within the charges tab. Additionally, all created, updated and closed meter readings will be seen within the reservation log.
NOTE: If you have an electric meter integration this will pull live data from the meter.
Updating Open meter reading. (The next two steps are only for parks who do NOT have an electric meter integration, please move to step 7 closing the meter.) In the case that the opening meter read is not correct, you can update the open reading. This is also how you will update the close read to then close the meter entirely.
Start by selecting the checkbox next to the read that you would like to update.
Next manually enter in the new open read.
Then select Update
If you open the reservation now it will show the updated open read. It will also show the update within the reservation log.
Updating Close meter reading. (Skip to step 7 if you have an electric meter integration)
Start by selecting the checkbox next to the read that you would like to update.
Next manually enter in the close read.
Then Select Update.
If you open the reservation you will see the updated close meter reading.
Closing a meter read charge. (If you do NOT have an integration please skip this step)
For those who have an electric meter integration you will select the checkbox on the reservations you would like to close then select Close Meter.
Opening then next month's reading. (This is for both parks with and without an integration)
If the reservation will need another electric meter charge added, select the check box next to the reservation you would like to start a new read on.
Then select + Create Charge
After selecting + Create Charge you will see that the previous close read is automatically transferred to the next month/charges opening read.
