Creating a Promo Code - Staylist Pro

To Create a Promo Code:

  1. Use the main settings cogwheel to navigate to Reservations > Promo Codes

  2. In the upper-right corner, click on the Add button in the upper right.

  3. Set a name for the promo code. This can be modified later, if needed. Click Save.

  4. Before adding any promo code information, set the promo code type:

    1. Flat – Flat amount discount for the reservation ($50.00 off the entire reservation)

    2. Percent – Flat percentage amount for the reservation (10% off the entire reservation)

    3. Nights – Buy X nights, get Y nights at Z dollars/percent off

  5. For flat amount off promo codes:

    1. In the Value box, enter the flat promotional discount amount.

  6. For percentage off promo codes:

    1. In the Value box, enter percent off amount.

  7. For Nights promo codes:

    1. In the Buy Nights box, enter in the number of nights required at the base rate.

    2. In the Get Nights box, enter in the number of nights that will receive the promo value.

    3. In the Value box, enter in the flat amount or percent off amount (as determined by the dropdown menu to the right of the Value box)

  8. For All Promo Code Types:

    1. Click on the Dates tab at the top

      1. Enter in a start date for the date range for the promo code

      2. Enter in an end date for the date range for the promo code

      3. If there are multiple date ranges, such as holiday weekends, click on the Plus button to the right of the End Date box to add another set of date range boxes.

    2. Back in the General tab:

      1. Toggle the checkboxes for the following if you'd like them to determine how the promo code functions:

        1. Allow the promo code to apply to reservations that overlap the start/end dates

        2. Have promo codes apply automatically without a code needing to be entered

        3. Exclude the promo code from applying to monthly rates

  9. If you want the promo code to only apply to specific unit categories, specify the categories in the Unit Categories box. Otherwise, the promo code will apply to ALL unit categories.

  10. Once everything looks OK, Click on the checkbox the set the promo code as Active.

  11. If you'd like this promo code to be applicable when guests are booking online, click on the checkbox to set the promo code as Active Online.

    1. If the promo code is active online, you'll want to set a code to be entered by the guest in the Code box.
