Steps
To create a Rate Code to attach to a unit category (or an individual unit):
In the main settings cogwheel, navigate to Reservations -> Rate Codes.
In the upper-right area, click on the Plus/Add button.
Enter in a name for the new Rate Code, and click Save.
Before setting any parameters for the new Rate Code after giving it a name, Click on the "Active" checkbox. Without this step, your rate code will be set to inactive and unable to be applied to a unit.
Set the parameters for the rate code you are creating:
Type - What type of Unit this is for. Currently, the two options are Rate Calendar (Rates are based off of a nightly price) or Timeslots (Rates are based off of a block of time in a day, like a boat rental).
Calendar Months - Should the Rate Code calculate a monthly rate based off of a 30-day block (No) or a "true" calendar month (Yes - January would receive 31 days for a month, February would be either 28 or 29 days, etc.).
Rate Averaging - When shown in the Folio Statment, should all of the days' cost be averaged out over the total number of days, or do you want the rate to reflect higher/lower rates, depending on the day?
Prorate Weekly Rates - When a reservation is longer than a week, but shorter than two weeks, should the extra days receive the weekly rate?
Prorate Monthly Rates - When a reservation is longer than a month, but shorter than two months, should the extra days receive the monthly rate?

When all of these settings are established, be sure to save!
The next step in this process is to enter in rates information for the new rate code. Click on the green Dollar Sign icon on the right end of that Rate Code's line:
In the rates calendar, enter in the dollar values in each box. If all of the rates for a month are identical, you can click on the Copy button next to that month's name, and the value entered will be added into every day's rates for that month.
Be sure to also enter in Weekly and Monthly rates (if applicable to the rate code being created):
